🧼 Tech Tip Twosday – Week X

Clean Up Your Digital Life in 10 Minutes

A messy digital workspace leads to wasted time, missed files, and a whole lot of frustration. This week, we're giving you two fast tips to help you declutter your desktop and streamline your browsing—without spending hours cleaning up.

✅ Tip #1: Tidy Up Your Desktop Automatically

Cluttered desktop full of screenshots, PDFs, and random files? Try this:

📁 Windows:

Right-click your desktop > View > Auto arrange icons
Then sort into folders:

  • “Work”

  • “To Review”

  • “Archive”
Keep only the essentials in view.

Bonus: Use Fences (by Stardock) if you want to group and label sections of your desktop visually.

🧑‍💻 Mac:

Use Stacks – Right-click the desktop > Use Stacks
It automatically groups files by type (images, documents, PDFs) into neat collapsible stacks.

Spend 2 minutes on this, and you’ll instantly feel more organized.

✅ Tip #2: Clear Out Unused Browser Extensions

Old extensions slow down your browser and could even pose security risks.

🧽 Do a quick extension audit:

  • Chrome/Edge: chrome://extensions

  • Firefox: about:addons
Review and remove anything you don’t recognize or haven’t used in months.

Less clutter = faster browsing + fewer vulnerabilities.
